iCHRISTmas Album!
I don't know about you, but I enjoy music. My wife is a singer/songwriter and loves to honor Jesus with it. She diligently writes her own music every week. I am thankful she is using her gifts to bring glory to God (of course, I am biased!) She just finished a Christmas album this past week. iCHRISTmas is an acoustic EP completely recorded on the iPhone 4.
Also, you can download her "New Day" Album on I-Tunes

God With Us
December is here! I love Christmas time! The only thing I dislike about Christmas is the focus on "stuff" and less in Jesus. It is easy to become focused upon what gifts to give and receive and attending parties. We can sometimes completely miss God. Even if we have the best intentions. When I think of gifts, usually they fall into 3 categories:
- Impractical: Awkward responses like, “wow this is the best” but in your mind you are saying "I'll never use this!"
- Cheap: Worthless trinkets that come and go!
- Worthwhile: It is a gift that is beyond materialism. My relationship with Jesus, friends and family are the greatest gifts of all!
All material gifts fit into a category of being temporary. God’s gift to us is not something. It is someone.
I encourage you in this busy season to celebrate and meditate on the fact that Jesus came to earth for us! Emmanuel!

Thanksgiving at the Robinson's
We had a great week visiting family last week. Although I was sick for most of the week, we had a blast. I was diagnosed with strep throat and then did not improve. I took 4 days of antibiotics with no improvement. I went to a second doctor and was told I had a Peritonsillar abscess. What this means is that I did not get to enjoy eating much at Thanksgiving due to my throat being in a lot of pain. Thankfully today I went to a specialist and he was able to help relieve the pressure (it was gross!) and begin the healing process. Regardless of the frustration of being in pain on vacation, family time is always a blessing. I put this video together of some funny highlights with the family this past week!
