Deer Hunting
I've really enjoyed getting back into hunting since I've moved to Alabama. It has been relaxing spending time in the woods. I'm reminded everytime I go of God's amazing creation. I shot my first deer this past friday afternoon. Here are some shots of the 5 pointer!

Update on life!
Life has been really busy lately with ministry, marriage and life! Here's a quick snapshot of what is happening in my life:
- Spent a wonderful thanksgiving with my family in Greenville, SC - ate lots of food, I DID shop on "black friday" and got great deals!
- I almost finished my Christmas shopping on "black friday"
- Just finished a two week series called, "Getting this Christmas Right" - we focused upon the "Gift" of the gospel and not upon the material gifts of Christmas.
- We finished the JV boys basketball season for the high school here in Ashford. I enjoyed coaching and building relationships with the guys. I sure miss the days when I played!
- Cassidy's new album is coming together nicely! We are going back to Nashville to finish up the recording the week after Christmas!
- Praying that God will move in a mighty way in 2010!
- I shot my first deer this afternoon (I will post pics later) - it was awesome!
- We watched the movie "Blindside" last week with my small group - one of the best movies I have seen in a long time! Great story!
- Happy birthday to my wonderful mother - Jennifer Robinson today!! She is such a godly example of a mom and I'm so thankful for her!
Thoughts I'm Thinking
I just thought I'd have a quick mind-dump of what God's teaching me.
I need the presence of God - I'm focusing on the verse "pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18)
- Prayer opens up my heart for God to move - "God, change me to become more like you"
- Prayer aligns our heart with what God is doing - "Show me how to love with your unconditional love"
- Prayer aligns my life to His Will - "I will follow you"
- Praying that God will use me as empty vessel - "Cleanse my heart of sin so I can be pure for you to fill"
- Praying that God will give me the passion to reach the lost with the gospel - "help me to open my mouth more and share Jesus with the lost"
- Realize that life is a journey – "Help me live for truth and have the character to finish strong"
- Realize that prayer is heard by a loving God - "Thank you for Your grace and forgiveness"
- Prayer completes the picture that we are dependent upon God for everything - "You are my source"
